BLAST Monthly Shoots
2008 Annual Spring BLAST Event
Our Annual event scheduled for this Spring has been postponed. Several of our organizers have important personal obligations. We are hoping to reschedule the event this for this Fall. Hope to see you all then.
Ladies of BLAST
BLAST (Brooks Ladies All-American Shooting Team),
is a women's shooting group that originated in the Rochester Brooks Gun Club, located in Rush,
New York. We now have members from all over: Western and Central New York, the Southern Tier and also Canada.BLAST members are mothers, daughters, sisters, wives. We are nurses, students, home makers, technicians, office managers and business owners.
The founders of BLAST had 2 ideas in mind: 1) to establish a network of women shooters, and 2) to introduce shooting sports to new shooters in a safe, fun and non-intimidating way.
BLAST's monthly Women-Only shoots are held the 3rd Saturday of every month, at 10 AM, rain or shine (or snow!). This monthly event is an informal get-together to shoot, support and encourage one another, tell big stories and out right lies. FUN is the main objective. We shoot in small women-only squads of 5 or less, usually. At least one experienced shooter accompanies each squad, to offer assistance where needed, and to keep things running smoothly and safely.
